Aviary Escapees?

Unless known, that assumption is an issue of probability. Among various combinations of species of Lorikeets, in places where one species is now common and the other less so, natural hybridisation occurs. And in mixed collections in captivity, hybridisation occurs often.

Hi All,

 

Seen at Casey on the weekend a rainbow lorikeet and scaly-breasted x rainbow lorikeet inspecting a tree hollow. I assume they must be escapees from Gold Creek Aviary.
