Greetings. A Powerful Owl was reported from two Bywong properties yestereve, info at the Bywong and Wamboin Hub Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BywongAndWamboin/

One observer got a photo and another wrote at about 9pm on 10 Feb:
You won't believe this but about 5 minutes ago, I was sitting in the bush at our place looking at one of our glider box to count the gliders coming out. Nothing came out except that all of a sudden this huge owl glided about 3m over my head going towards the creek. It scared the .... out of me!. I heard the swoosh of the air as it flew over me. It looked like it has a wing span over a metre wide. If any ornithologist wants to come and check the area tomorrow, you're welcome. It would be interesting ot know if there are a few around or if this is the lone ranger.

If anyone wishes to take up his offer of a visit, pls let me know and I will give you his contact details.

David
