I saw possibly the same birds at the junction of Lyrebird and Camelback last Wednesday. Also a Pilotbird on Lyrebird.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Rufous Fantail with dependent young
A Rufous Fantail family was seen on Lyrebird Trail at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve this morning. Two dependent young (still with some down) were seen with the adults.
As the graph below shows, there are only 10 breeding records in the COG database between 1982 and 2014 (7 dependent young, 1 carrying food, 1 nest with eggs and 1 on or leaving the nest), all in January, February or March.
