Hi Alison,
I was out there yesterday, to Shepherds Lookout for the first time. The track
is not overly wide and I was on the lookout for any snakes, and the track down
to the bridge on the Molonglo can get very narrow (I didn't make it down to the
bridge). I looked for any sign of raptors in the sky (particularly the Little
Eagle) but failed to see any. I did see some swallows flying from the lookout
but unsure of the true id.
Next time I will try the wider track to the right of the carpark as a man on a
bicycle came through the gate as I was leaving and said he had spotted some
deer in the gully to the right of the lookout area.
Hope this helps
Anne
