Here is a trivial question. When I watched it on Sunday after sleeping for some time it was preening a lot. It closed its eyes when preening, combined with looking around in between. Is that typical for this bird? I don’t think I have noticed that but most birds don’t have such big eyes or move so slowly, so it would hardly be so obvious..........

In pinoak behind greenkeeper’s building. High, towards end of long branch stretching into the pines at Haig Park. Most easily seen in Haig Park, street side of tree.
