At 5.30 am a Koel calling in Curtin followed by the sound of the lions
roaring from across at the National Zoo. A rather bizarre combination!

The morning calling period (7am or so) was unusually complex this morning.
Two Grey Butcherbirds, several Magpies, lorikeets (sounded like Rainbow),
Peewits, King Parrots, a Bowerbird, Sulphur crested cockatoos, Red
wattlebirds. All very close by. Maybe they all slept in?
