I noticed on the ebird map that there is no record of Gang-Gangs at Uriarra.
The siting at Mt Coree is the only one this far west of the Murrumbidgee. There
have been Gang-Gangs in the village - seen from time to time by other residents
- but only on two occasions by me. This was not on the bird blitz weekend so
I've not reported them (until now).
Also, there were three superb parrots on Uriarra Road about 1 km north of the
Mountain Creek Rd turnoff at noon today.
Lastly, there is a pair of Nankeen Kestrels resident in the paddock next to my
home. Yesterday I put a dead mouse (from a mousetrap) under their tree but
after a close inspection they declined my gift.
