Thanks to Philip and Geoffrey
I readily confess to not being too concerned in the past about
approaching raptor nests. I did not then know about thermo-regulation
and I had no idea at all that it was possible that the chicks could
overheat to distress, and possibly to death, as a direct result of my
actions.
It was Geoffrey who initially advised me about this issue, and Philip
who has just reminded me again.
