As John Bundock showed it will be closed in January for work on the Causeway.  There was a coreflute strung on a fence that appeared to be saying TAMS stuff but it had collapsed - and the adjacent sign said crossing open so we proceeded onwards,  As Kym has said there was about as low a flow as I have seen for years.

We were going from Gigerline East (nice views of Yellow-tufted Honeyeater at the River in the usual spot) via Tharwa Sandwash (Frogmouths well in view) to the Namadgi Visitors Centre (Jacky Winter and White-winged Triller were highlights.

I’m pretty sure I saw a notice a few days ago that it was closed but the TAMS site shows:

http://www.tams.act.gov.au/roads-transport/act_public_road_closures/listings/temporary_road_closures

6 am Monday 11 January 2016 to 6 pm Sunday 31 January 2016.

Tennent (Rural) - Tuggeranong (Rural)

ANGLE CROSSING ROAD: Will be closed at the concrete causeway across the Murrumbidgee River.

Repairs to the concrete causeway.

John

Thanks.  I found a reference within the TAMS site saying it will be closed from 6 January (but without quoting a reason).

The listing I got was only native HTML as according to an error message from Chrome "The site has no style" - I can just resist responding to that!

It’s said to be closed while the causeway is strengthened.

Does anyone know if it is fordable at the moment?  Or indeed whether TAMS have closed it for other, more bizarre, reasons?
