What amazed me was the habitat I found a BTC in: it was 200 m downstream from the homestead, in an area with a long grass, brambles and boulders. The bird perched on a rock, called loudly, and then flew to a Lombardy Poplar. Hardly a native plant, shrub or tree within 200 metres!

Also in that area were Diamond Firetails, Southern Whitefaces &c
