Hi

For the past couple of days I’ve heard channel billed cuckoo calls at a distance but haven’t been able to sight them. Then this afternoon at 1700 two landed in a neighbour’s eucalypt overlooking Deasland Place in Fraser. One was quite visible and satisfied the description for a female. The other was more shy and kept to the denser foliage which prevented a definitive allocation of gender but was the same impressive size as the female.

A first for me in the 23 years we have lived in this neck of the woods.

Happy Christmas to all.
