I went for a short stroll around part of Narrabundah Hill earlier this evening and came across a Sacred Kingfisher calling in a most unusual way – as if it was a begging juvenile.  To my astonishment and amusement it suddenly swooped me! Only once then flew off.  there was no sign of any others around that it might have been protecting.

Has anybody else ever been swooped by this species?

Also seen on the walk were a couple of Dusky Woodswallows and a Dollarbird.
