Hi all,
I’m new to this group but my fiancé and I have been bird watching for a while now (he much longer and more knowledgeable than I).
This morning (around 0720h) I saw the most beautiful Golden Headed Cisticola BM and BF at Parkwood horse paddocks in MacGregor. There are a lot of tall grasses down a laneway where I keep my horses and there is also a pool of water
nearby. The male was trying his very best at a mating display but didn’t seem to be amusing the female too much – or perhaps she was playing hard to get haha.
Anyway, this sighting made me so happy this morning I just had to share it.
I also disturbed a Brown Quail from the grass by mistake when I was walking over to my horses. You see them at Parkwood occasionally, but this is the first one I have seen for some time now.
Have a great day,
Fiona
