The survey was carried out on 27 Nov in fine, warm conditions. 44 species in total, with 42 of them within survey sites. Two Nankeen Kestrels were seen carrying skinks, and a Pied Currawong was doing the same, but bashed it against a branch and ate it immediately. Striated Pardalotes were observed displaying at Nursery Corner, and there were a number of dependent young Australian Magpies around the reserve. Several groups of White Ibis flew over during the surveys, and one group was still roosting close to the entrance. Huge nunbers of small grasshoppers were present, as well as large numbers of Common Brown butterflies.
