Magnificent birds, and we still have a lot to learn about them.  I am impressed by the work being put into this project, and the extensive reporting of the results to date via the blog (below).
 
Simon Cherriman is trying to raise funds to continue his work with Wedge-tailed Eagles in the desert areas of WA.  His aim is to raise $18000 to allow satellite tracking of additional eagles, to better understand these iconic Australian birds. You can read about some of his current work, the satellite tracking technology, some of the individual eagles he's been tracking, and tracking results so far, in his blog, at
