Striated used to call loudly from July onwards in the street trees in Bowes Street, Woden. They would nest in the ceiling insulation of the car park level of Penrhyn House, along with starlings, mynahs and swallows (swallows not in the insulation but up
against the ceiling). I haven't heard the striateds calling there for several years as the building was renovated and I guess the nesting spots disappeared.
