Fact is the ACT is only an administrative unit for mysterious purposes of Humans. It is not an 'ecological unit' as far as most wildlife is concerned but just a part of greater southeastern Australia. Brown Treecreepers don't seem to do well close to
suburbia, that's what happens with some species when you build a big city on/close to their habitat. The reverse is true of others. From my experience however, they are still widely distributed in our general region, esp. to our west. Maintenance of general
habitat quality on a landscape scale in the mostly farming districts from here to South Australia and also northwards, where this species is widespread is what is going to make the difference.
