Have been given a convincing verbal description of a Black-eared Cuckoo by Jenny Newport from ANU, she saw it during a bird survey this morning. She said she didn’t hear it calling.

It was in woodland in the eastern part of Mulligans, for those who remember the Black Honeyeater invasion quite a few years back, it sounds like it was in that general area. For those who don’t it would be roughly midway between Quoll and Curlew gates on this map of the reserve... http://www.mulligansflat.org.au/media/Brochure/Mulligans_Flat_and_Goorooyarroo_Nature_Reserve_Brochure-3.pdf

Cheers

Steve
