Two clutches of wood ducklings at East Basin on Sat morn - one of 12 and the other of 8.  When last seen the 12 were paddling towards Kings Av bridge so perhaps they made it to West Basin?

Cheers

Yesterday, on the edge of Lake BG, West Basin, there was a family of wood ducks.  There were about 12 very tiny ducklings with their parents.  For a little while some of the ducklings tucked themselves under the mother.  She seemed a bit selective about which ones she permitted to do that, pecking at a few of them to stop them.
