This information missed October Gang-gang.

COG’s bird blitz 24-25 October

Sites are steadily being adopted (see the website for the latest state of play) but quite a few bird-rich central locations still await observers. How about signing up to survey one of the following?

Australian National Botanic Gardens

Black Mountain NR

Mt Ainslie NR

Mt Majura NR

O’Connor Ridge NR

Newline paddocks

Tuggeranong Hill NR

Rob Roy NR

Woodstock NR

Narrabundah Hill

Farrer Ridge NR

Wanniassa Hills NR

As well there are numerous unlisted yet interesting spots – think Centenary Trail locations, Mt Tennent, around the lake.

And further afield there is Square Rock, Gibraltar Falls and Woodstock NR. Put in your intentions to survey a site or to seek further information to Barbara Allan at  or see her at the next COG meeting. And join in a fun weekend of spring birding to help us get as complete a picture as possible of our birds.
