I went for a bike ride around the Hoskinstown Plain this morning, to check the bands on the lapwings. Unfortunately all 5 seen near Hoskinstown were so equipped, and none had even a hint
of grey on the head.
I was also intending to check the Songlark situation following Mark Clayton's comments. This led to spending a fair amount of time peering at Pipits and somewhat less time getting excited
at a lark's song, but it soon ascendd to the Sky.
As advised by Julienne the Fairy Martins have returned to their usual culvert on Plans Rd.
