Hi Ken,

 

It could help to know what part of Australia. However assuming local, it looks like a perfectly normal Brown Thornbill to me. It is not a Striated Thornbill, for reasons quite apart (additional) from the wrong eye colour.

Initially thought Striated but wrong eye colour. Maybe Brown or Inland? Wish I had a clear view of the rump/tail!
