My wife and I went to check out the Turner owl at about 2:30 this afternoon. He is still there sitting in the 3rd tree from the road and on the clubhouse side of the drain. I found him very quickly. The bird is about 2/3 of the way up the tree when you stand beside the pencil pine (2nd tree in from the road) and look to the left. There is a gap in the shielding foliage of his roost tree and if you look at this gap it was sitting in plain sight with his back to us. He did turn and look at us on one occasion. It is not carrying any leftovers so tomorrow could possibly have something in its talons.

While there I was surprised at the number of King Parrots (60+) feeding in the grass beside the bowling club, and 40+ feral pigeons also feeding on the ground close to the drain but on the other side to the owl. Next thing you know we will have a Peregrine taking up residence!!!!
