Maybe the ACT Govt could organise a permanent display specimen on the site. I reckon most of the fat Salties on the mud banks of the Daintree River are fibreglass models.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Turner Owl
Good morning all,
Has anyone been to check out if the Powl is still in situ at the bowling club in Turner? I have a visitor from WA who I will be taking birding on Saturday and although he has seen the species, would appreciate another look. I also have
a Canadian birder to take around on his first trip to Oz later this month and the owl would be a bonus.
Thanks,
Mark
