Spring has sprung, the grass (and especially the weeds) is riz, so clearly COG’s annual spring bird blitz is in the offing. This will be our eleventh blitz so I urge everyone to get involved to make it a success. For newcomers to the blitz, check out for details about how it operates. Regulars (and even irregulars) are encouraged to sign up for one or more sites by emailing The website will also show the sites already adopted. Take-up has just begun so there are prime birding sites all over the ACT ready and waiting to be adopted. Do join in for a fun weekend of birding and help us obtain a more complete picture of our local birds over the weekend of 24-25 October.
