Don't give them ideas.  They'll probably have a team of 15 members of the CFMEU out there by now, and working for the next two weeks installing fences to keep everyone out of the whole of Haig Park.  Mean while Shane Rattenbury will run a few workshops on the Greens' response to the environmental impact of placing plastic in a fir tree!

Maybe the ACT Govt could organise a permanent display specimen on the site.  I reckon most of the fat Salties on the mud banks of the Daintree River are fibreglass models.

Good morning all,

Has anyone been to check out if the Powl is still in situ at the bowling club in Turner? I have a visitor from WA who I will be taking birding on Saturday and although he has seen the species, would appreciate another look. I also have a Canadian birder to take around on his first trip to Oz later this month and the owl would be a bonus.

Thanks,

Mark
