This morning a Striated Thornbill was collecting material for a nest at Little Mulligans Flat from the ground. Yesterday my first sighting of Buff-rumped Thornbills in Bonner,  The new pond  at Essie Coffie St. has a good thicket of grasses and shrubs which encouraged them to venture further into the suburb into westringias and young street trees.
