Terry, the person you should approach is Holly Parsons
who is the program manager for the Birdlife
Australia's Birds in Backyards in Sydney and also is the one of the
supervisors of their Powerful Owl project.
Subscribers will be interested to know that Holly has agreed to speak to COG
about this project (see p42 of the June 2015 issue of Australian Birdlife
which arrived today) at our meeting of 9 September. The actual project
officer David Bain, who spoke to COG about the first year's results a couple
of years ago, has moved on.

Although we were jointly unsuccessful in locating Turner this morning the
interesting topic was raised by Don that a nesting box in this location
could be worthy of consideration. I do recall a COG presentation some years
when nesting boxes in metropolitan areas ( Melbourne ? ) were attracting
usage. Apparently there is equipment, expertise and manpower available to
complete this project. Where to from here ? T2 on duty
