Indeed "Australasian Magpie" is quite silly. Surely just a data entry error or
is there any real reason for it. The magpie of Europe lives in Asia and is also
called Eurasian Magpie.

Have you tried out the new eBird iOS app? It works just like BirdLog ANZ, makes
data entry a breeze, tho I have yet to test its offline checklist capacity, a
problem with BirdLog.
It uses the Clements taxonomy & nomenclature, so we get oddities like Gray Teal
and Australasian Magpie.
