Today I met with 3 staff of the Local Land Service(LLS) at Yass re. Travelling Stock Reserves in their district. They welcome COG visits provided arrangements are made through them and are happy to attend some outings. Ben Serafin,  a biosecurity officer ,reported a snakebird nesting colony on the Yass town dam after its level has been raised. He said there were 2 species but was not able to iD them from photos I showed him . He reached them by canoe. He is quite interested in birds and has ordered a copy of Birds of Canberra Gardens. He is happy to answer any expressions of interest email.
