An interesting mixed flock came through our garden this morning
6 Superb Fairy-wrens;
6 Buff-rumped Thornbills;
2 Brown Thornbills;
2 Scarlet Robins;
1 Speckled Warbler; and
8 Varied Sitellas
As would be expected they were at various levels in the vegetation but seemed to be moving pretty much as a group.
Unfortunately I had already recorded all these species for my BirdaDay Project which is pretty much on life support. The Fat Lady has not yet sung that aria, but she is definitely clearing
her throat.
