Thanks for sharing the photos Tun Pin - they are great!

I can't really see how the foot is deformed or injured from the photo but find it interesting that the plumage on the lower abdomen appears to be unusually ruffled and to have some feathers missing.  Although we can't know what has happened to it by just looking at it, perhaps this bird could have had a near miss with a predator of some sort (although swift parrots are renowned for colliding with objects and injuring themselves within suburban areas the resultant injuries tend to be to the head, chest or wings so I think collision injury is an unlikely explanantion).

Hi,
There seems to be only 2 Swift Parrots hanging around in Ainslie lately.

One of them shows some kind of deformed or handicapped right claw and it was not able to grip the branch firmly. See attached photo link
