Interestingly, that's also the basis for the proposed solution for cane toads .... dehydration, by fencing off reservoirs so the toads can't migrate or thrive.

When we were on the Wednesday walk last week we saw several european wasp nests.  I made a call to Canberra Connect and was referred to a private contractor who then contacted the field team.  The next day they went out and treated the nests and told me that we should always be careful around water because european wasps always nest near fresh water because they need water every day.
