I spent a pleasant afternoon at Mulligan's Flat before the rain. There were small flocks of White-naped, Brown-headed and Yellow-faced Honeyeaters. The Yellow-faced were feeding on the ground, as Bill Graham reported earlier - apparently feeding on Melichrus urceolatus (if my plant identification is correct). Plenty of Scarlet Robins around at the moment, as well as this Red-capped Robin. I observed some skirmishing between the Red-capped and a female Scarlet Robin - maybe a territorial dispute.

Duncan.
