Also you may want to check this extremely useful website: http://ebird.org/ebird/australia/hotspots where you can search by species or by area, submit and organise your data (which can be used for science purposes!)

We are heading to the Northern Territory next month and have been trying to get hold of a copy of Niven McCrie's book "Finding Birds in Darwin, Kakadu and the Top End" with no luck.
Does anyone have a copy they would like to sell us? Or lend to us?
