Hi Bill

Melichrus urceolatus, Urn-heath, a useful source of nectar in the cooler months for those birds that dare forage at ground level.

Cheers

Nicki

Two flocks of YFHE's ( about 12 each) passed through Little Mulligan's this morning. Some spent time foraging in upper foliage. One was feeding in an epacris/ heath? shrub about 30cms high with pale lemon flowers. ID please? It was in an open area and it was focussed  on getting the nectar.
