Down at the river at the bottom of the steep track there was one in the small cleared area next to the old time shed. Was flying from shrub to shrub and also foraging on the ground. Seemed to be on quite good terms with all the superb fairy wrens around it. 2 black fronted dotterels were on the far sand bank. And we heard an eastern whipbird, which seemed to be in the blackberry thickets on the far bank. Could be the same one heard last week. We also heard an answering female call.Ken |
