That is two more than I saw in a driving loop around Foxlow and the Hoskinstown Plain this morning. However close to Foxlow bridge a group of 20 Red Wattlebirds were skimming the top of the canopy in a broadly easterly direction. Other interesting birds seen were: Pink Eared Duck (1 on a dam near Foxlow and 2 on a dam at Mills Cross); Australasian Shoveler (2 on each of the above) Musk Duck (1, Foxlow Lagoon) Black-fronted Dotterel (1 on a dam near Foxlow) Willie Wagtail (10 hawking around the intersection of Briars-Sharrow rd and Hoskinstown Rd); and Diamond Firetail (1 sitting on a fence at the intersection of Briars-Sharrow rd and Hoskinstown Rd) Martin Butterfield On 2 April 2015 at 12:03, Con Boekel <> wrote: Just two over John Knight reserve over a period of two hours this morning. |
