The Belconnen Arts Centre currently has an exhibition of Christine Upton's work
which includes both lino block prints and wooden carvings of pelicans.
Christine has experimented with creating lino blocks from everyday materials
and her subjects are taken from "my world". She doesn't use a printing press,
relying on pressure from her feet and hands to create the effects she seeks
when illustrating plants and animals.
The gallery is closed on Mondays but the exhibition lasts until 12th April.
(Parking spaces can be rare so parking at Westfield is an option.)
