Large numbers moving east this morning, 9.30-12.00, over the travelling stock reserve. Starting with flocks of 15 to 30 but eventually a steady unbroken stream and I soon lost count (after some 400). The total would have been in the thousands. The flocks
included very occasional White-naped HE. Plenty of YF HEs at Kelly's Rd too, but there they were busy foraging in the eucs.
Also some YF HEs passing over Torrens c. 2 p.m.
In the Gigerline reserve, near the river, I heard a Whipbird, my first ever in the ACT. Also a Western gerygone in song.

While I was out earlier this afternoon a friend reported about 300 YFHE coming from the west and landing in a pine tree on Plains Rd Hoskinstown.
