After Sandra’s good news story last year about the success of a Peregrine nest, today I found a bird on Morshead Drive this morning which had been hit by a vehicle. It was alive when I found it but died on the way to the vet and is now part of the CSIRO Wildlife Collection. A small number of brown juvenile feathers on the back and wings indicated it was near the end of the post juvenile moult (second year?). As to sex, I will leave that to be determined when  it is prepared.
