Hi all!

Just a quick update about ongoing works at Jerrabomberra Wetlands:

  1. On Wednesday this week we had the slasher out to mow some strips around Kelly’s Swamp. These are control lines for a series of small ecological prescribed burns that we intend to conduct this Autumn. We have had some success in previous years trialling the use of fire to increase native sedge and rush cover and reduce the cover of invasive pasture species around Kelly’s Swamp, and are looking to see if we can replicate this success elsewhere.
  2.  Willow removal along Jerrabomberra Creek is continuing, and should be completed next week.
  3. Lastly, we have just finished the installation of a series of new walking track totems for our three new walks – so feel free to come out for a stroll and check them out!

See you out there!
