Plenty of birds yesterday, still going through photos to see if we really did see that White-rumped Sandpiper after all.

Amongst the Swans, Pelicans, Egrets and Coots we saw 20 Royal Spoonbills, 12 Chestnut Teal (m & f), Crested Terns and some yet to be decided plovers.

Parked at the end of The Lake Circuit to access the lake - just next to the toilet block there were 2 Red-whiskered Bulbuls (Pycnonotus jocosus) sitting in a tree, photo attached. Haven't seen these since Mackay where I used to have a family of them nesting outside my office.

Also saw 2 sooty oystercatchers on the rocks below the lookout at Penguins Head, on the surf club side.
