I took this photo in November 2011 through a window onto our deck (western end of Deakin, one row of houses down from the Red Hill reserve). A rainy day, so a wet fox.
We regularly hear them jump our back gate at night on their way to inspect next door's chicken coup. We have lost the occasional low-hanging peach. Next door has lost several chooks.

Canberra is fox heaven:
Water laid on everywhere, ample cover on ever slope, rabbits, swags of road kill, garden berries and other garden fruit, dog food, well-enclosed dogs, cat food, chooks, peacocks, rats, mice, grasshoppers, birds, lizards, blackberries, politicians... oh... wait.
