Thanks to David Adams, it appears that my sighting of 20 Pied Oystercatchers, in pairs spread across a few across of sand flats, and 30 Royal Spoonbills in a roosting flock - both at the bridge over Wallaga lake were pretty unusually large aggregations. The swamps outside Bega on Tathra Road and and bit further east at Jellat Jellat were also full of waterbirds and well worth a visit - more so if not raining as it was on Monday. Martin Butterfield |
