A single Hobby overflew our garden this morning (10.15 am, Ainslie nr
Corroboree Park). It circled for a couple of minutes climbing to >100m above
ground, before heading off to the north.

Subject: Pair of hobbies
Seen this afternoon at the old tip site, western Mt Ainslie. Pics show female
with cicada in talons, and male in same tree. Several years ago we observed a
hobby nest in the mobile phone tower not far from this spot; today there were
workmen in the top of the tower and it is tempting to think that the workers
disturbed the birds, though no nest material could be seen through binocs in
the tower.
Cheers
