Hybridisation of the two species, in situations were they are not
both common, is well document Ted.

it did not take long to find it.
But here is the twist, while watching them they were at a nest hollow and
twice i saw both the Scaly and Rainbow appear to be feeding young in the
hollow.
I did not see or hear young but i got the impression that this is what they
were doing.
Maybe someone with more experience than me could go down and see what they
think?
If you stand at the play ground and look at the teepee that some kids have
made from branches and about the same distance along slightly to the right is a
gumtree ( not sure what type it is ), the hollow is in this tree
