just now, 2 musk lorikeets high in old red gum in my back garden. I'd mentioned to neighbour John earlier today that I thought I'd heard non-rainbow lorikeets recently but hadn't seen the birds, but they are sitting quietly at top of the tree right now( for last 10 minutes) - very poor light and quite a bit of wind, but unmistakeable. I've been looking lately in the trees at Wanniassa Hills primary over last few days (only 100m away), with no luck, but I suspect they are spending some time there, as they did for a few weeks last year, since the calls have been occasional throughout the day over the last few days sandra h |
