Yesterday, after time with grandkids at Kambah District park, I walked to Kambah Village shops. In the vicinity of O'Halloran Cct underpass near Chirnside St I heard loud persistent raptor young calling. It  was in a grove of tall eucs, with large leaves (Candlebark?) close to Drakeford Dr. Perched about 4-5 m above ground moved about 3x then flew away showing squarish tail. Not sure if it was nth or sth of the underpass. It allowed me to get fairly close. How soon after leaving the nest can a juvenile ColSpar feed itself ? When does it cease to be dy? No adults were seen or heard in 10 minutes I was there.
