As correctly reported yesterday our famous long term summer visitor, the
powerful owl, seems now to favouring the second high oak tree about 30 metres
distant from his usual tree walking towards the water tanks. Well concealed
,however, high in the tree and presently difficult to photograph.Whilst I have
your attention I should report also that there is frenetic activity by at least
three Koels, probably two males and one female in the very same area. Yesterday
they were using a variety of calls and visiting each other from tree to tree,
often flying directly over the bowling greens in full view.
